Vines Its origin goes back to the years 1840-1850, it is directed since this date of Wire Father, Bruno represents the sixth generation.
Its vineyard, established the communes of Panzoult, Chinon and Cravant the Slopes, currently extends on 55 ha, distributed for the 4/5 in slopes and the 1/5 in plain. The average age of the vines is of more than 30 years, oldest exceed 80 years. The grounds are in siliceous argilo majority, on exposed slopes full southern, very arid with much of flint, a small calcareous part in argilo, and very dense low registers for the valley.
The culture of the vine remains traditional, with work of the line space. The treatments are reasoned.
The wine making, rather long, also allied the traditional methods, allows thanks to modern equipment (thermobabbited tanks) of perfectly maitriser fermentations. We endeavour to respect our various vintages, at the same time the age of the vines but also the types of soils.
The breeding, apart from the young vines, which remain out of tanks in order to keep a maximum of fruits and flavours, is spread out from 6 to 8 months according to our vintages, out of barrels, half-muids and the lightnings of oak of some wines. The wines underwent a roughing in filtration before, in order to eliminate the heavy dregs for a better ageing. |
